Educator Instructions

  • Introduction (5 mins)

  • Letter Practice (7 mins)
    After the video, review the alphabet. Point to flashcards or a chart with uppercase and lowercase letters. Have the children name the letters. Focus on letters in their names.
  • Sound Association (5 mins)
    Choose a few letters from the alphabet (e.g., A, B, C). Say the letter and then say a word that starts with that letter (e.g., A is for apple, B is for ball, C is for cat). Have the children repeat the letter and the word.
  • Activity - Alphabet Movement (5 mins)
    Have students move in different ways that starts with a letter. For example, 'S' is for stomp and 'J' is for jump.
  • Wrap-up (5 mins)
    Sing the alphabet song one more time as a class. Praise the children for their hard work and participation.

    Show flashcards with different letters. Have the children name the letter and say a word that starts with that letter. Make it a fun game!
