Greet the students and introduce the 'Big Pig Song'. Ask if they like pigs and what they know about them. - Video Time (5 mins)
Play the 'Big Pig Song' video. Encourage students to listen carefully and clap along. - Word Exploration (10 mins)
After the video, write the words 'pig,' 'big,' 'dig,' 'wig,' 'jig,' and 'fig' on a whiteboard or chart paper. Point out the letter 'i' in each word. Say each word clearly and have the students repeat after you. - Rhyme Time (10 mins)
Explain what rhyming words are. Ask students to identify which words from the list rhyme. For example, 'pig,' 'dig,' 'wig,' 'jig,' and 'fig' all rhyme. Play a rhyming game where you say a word and they have to say one that rhymes. - Sing-Along (10 mins)
Play the video again and have the students sing along. Emphasize the different volumes (loudly, softly). Encourage them to do the actions (digging, wearing a wig, jigging). - Creative Drawing (10 mins)
Give each student a piece of paper and crayons. Have them draw their favorite part of the song. Encourage them to label their drawing with the words they learned (pig, wig, etc.)
