Educator Instructions
- Introduction (5 mins)
Greet the students and introduce Chef Fabio as someone who loves the letter 'F' and food! Ask if anyone knows any foods that start with 'F'. - Video Time (5 mins)
Play "The Letter F Song" video from ABCmouse.com. Encourage the children to listen carefully for all the foods that start with 'F'. - Discuss and Review (10 mins)
After the video, ask the children what foods they heard in the song. List them on a whiteboard or large paper. Emphasize the 'F' sound at the beginning of each word. Show flashcards or pictures of the foods. - Activity: 'F' is for Food Coloring Page (10 mins)
Distribute coloring pages with the letter 'F' and some of the foods from the song (french fries, fish, etc.). Have students color the pictures and practice saying the names of the foods. - Letter 'F' Hunt (5 mins)
Hide cut-out letters 'F' (uppercase and lowercase) around the room. Have the children find them and bring them to you. As they find each 'F', have them say "F is for [food starting with F]!" - Wrap-up (5 mins)
Review the letter 'F' and the foods they learned. Sing the 'F' song again together. Praise their hard work!

- Food Sorting Game
Prepare a set of picture cards with different foods. Some should start with 'F' and some should not. Have the children sort the cards into two piles: 'Foods that start with F' and 'Foods that do not start with F'. - Air Writing
