- Introduction (5 mins)
Begin by engaging students with a brief discussion about letters they already know. Ask them to name their favorite letters. Introduce the focus letters for today: Q and R. Mention that they will be watching a fun video about these letters. - Video Viewing (5 mins)
Play the AKID ENGLISH video 'Letter Q & R'. Encourage students to watch attentively and listen for the sounds and words associated with each letter. - Letter Q Exploration (5 mins)
After the video, focus on the letter Q. Write both uppercase and lowercase Q on the board. Ask students to identify the letter. Discuss words from the video that start with Q (e.g., Queen). Have students repeat the word and the initial sound. - Letter R Exploration (5 mins)
Repeat the process for the letter R. Write both uppercase and lowercase R on the board. Discuss words from the video that start with R (e.g., Robot). Have students repeat the word and the initial sound. - Activity: Q and R Hunt (5 mins)
Hide pictures of items starting with Q and R around the room (e.g., a picture of a quarter, a picture of a rabbit). Have the students find the hidden pictures and name them. - Review and Wrap-up (5 mins)
