Play the Jack Hartmann 'Learn the Letter K' video. Encourage students to sing along, do the actions (writing in the air), and listen carefully to the words. - Sound Practice (5 mins)
After the video, focus on the /k/ sound. Have students practice saying the sound together. Use a mirror so students can see how their mouths form the sound, mirroring Jack Hartmann in the video. - Writing Practice (10 mins)
Provide students with worksheets that have dotted lines for uppercase and lowercase K. Guide them to trace the letters. Then, have them try writing the letters on their own. If worksheets are unavailable, use play dough, sand trays, or whiteboards for letter formation practice. - K is for... (10 mins)
