  • L Word Recognition (7 mins)
    Show flashcards or pictures of the words featured in the video (lion, lollipop, lamb, lemon, lobster, letter). Ask students to identify each object and repeat the word, emphasizing the 'L' sound. Encourage students to share if they know other words that start with L.
  • Letter L Formation (5 mins)
    Have students practice writing the uppercase and lowercase letter L on a whiteboard or in the air. Guide them on the correct stroke order (straight line down).

Interactive Exercises

  • 'L' Sound Hunt
    Hide pictures of objects around the room, some starting with L and some not. Have students search for the pictures and only collect the ones that start with the letter L. They should then say the name of the object emphasizing the 'L' sound.
  • Lollipop Creation
    Provide students with circular paper cutouts and markers. Have them decorate their own 'lollipops'. As they decorate, encourage them to say the word 'lollipop' and the /l/ sound.
