  • Video Time (5 mins)
    Play the 'Learn The Letter N' video by Jack Hartmann. Encourage students to sing along and follow the actions in the video.
  • Letter N Sound Practice (5 mins)
    After the video, focus on the /n/ sound. Have the children practice making the sound. Use a mirror to show them how their mouth moves when making the sound.
  • N Word Exploration (5 mins)
    Discuss words from the video that start with N (numbers, nickel, night, nice). Ask students if they can think of any other words that start with N (nose, net, nest). Then discuss words that end with N (sun, den, moon, run).
  • Writing N (5 mins)
    Demonstrate how to write the uppercase and lowercase letter N. Have students practice writing the letter N in the air with their fingers, on a whiteboard, or on paper with your assistance.
  • Activity: N is for...
    Have students draw pictures of things that start with the letter N.
  • Wrap-up (5 mins)
    Review the letter N, its sound, and some words that start with it. Praise students for their hard work.
