After the video, ask the children what they learned about the letter Q. Review the words from the song: quack, quail, quiver, quiz, quake, quilt, questions, quince, quick, queen, quiet, quartet, quintet, and quit. Write some of the words on a whiteboard/poster. - Activity: Q is for Quilt Coloring (10 mins)
Distribute coloring pages with a picture of a quilt. Have the children color the quilt and write the letter 'Q' or 'q' on the page. This helps reinforce the visual representation of the letter and connects it to a tangible object. - Activity: Q Sound Hunt (10 mins)
Hide pictures of items around the room, some starting with 'Q' (e.g., quail, quarter, queen) and some that don't. Have children find the pictures and identify if they start with the 'qu' sound. This reinforces auditory discrimination. - Wrap-up (2 mins)
