- Introduction (5 mins)
Greet students and introduce the topic: learning about the letters Q and U. Ask if anyone knows these letters. Show uppercase and lowercase Q and U on flashcards. - Video Time (5 mins)
Play the "Between the Lions: Q Without U" video. Encourage students to listen carefully and sing along if they can. - Discussion (5 mins)
After the video, ask students what they learned about Q and U. Emphasize that Q and U are best friends and usually go together. - Word Exploration (10 mins)
Write words from the song on a whiteboard or large paper (e.g., queen, quiet, quarter, quilt). Point out the 'qu' sound in each word. Have students repeat the words after you. - Q and U Matching Game (10 mins)
