Play the 'Between the Lions' video: 'Upper and Lower Case'. Encourage students to sing along and clap to the music. - Discussion (5 mins)
After the video, ask students what they learned about uppercase and lowercase letters. Review key concepts from the video, emphasizing the difference in size and use (e.g., uppercase for names). - Letter Hunt (10 mins)
Provide worksheets with a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters. Have students circle all the uppercase letters in one color and all the lowercase letters in another color. Alternatively, use alphabet blocks or magnetic letters for a more hands-on approach. - Name Game (10 mins)
Write each student's name on a piece of paper, using uppercase for the first letter and lowercase for the remaining letters. Have students identify the uppercase and lowercase letters in their name. Then, have them try to write their name. - Wrap-up (5 mins)
Review the difference between uppercase and lowercase letters. Sing the 'Between the Lions' song again. Praise students for their participation.
