Play 'The Letter E Song' video from ABCmouse.com. Encourage students to sing along and dance. - Word Identification (7 mins)
After the video, write the words 'Emu,' 'Elephant,' 'Eagle,' 'Eats,' 'Eggs,' 'Eight' on the board. Point to each word and say it clearly, emphasizing the /e/ sound. Have students repeat the words. Discuss the meanings of each word, especially if they are unfamiliar (emu, eagle). - Letter 'E' Practice (5 mins)
Have students practice writing the letter 'E' (uppercase and lowercase) on a whiteboard or paper. Guide them on the correct formation of the letter. - Activity: 'E' Sound Search (5 mins)
Ask students to think of other words that begin with the letter 'E'. Write their suggestions on the board. For example: 'egg,' 'elf,' 'empty,' 'evil'. For each word, clearly pronounce the words for the students to understand.
