Play the Jack Hartmann "Learn The Letter E" video. Encourage children to sing along, do the actions, and pay attention to the letter sounds and writing. - Letter E Sound Practice (5 mins)
After the video, review the short and long sounds of the letter E. Use examples from the video (Ed, Erica, egg, eagle, eel). Have students repeat the sounds after you. Play a game: Say a word and have children raise their hands if it starts with the letter E or has the short or long sound of E in the middle. - Writing the Letter E (5 mins)
Demonstrate how to write the uppercase and lowercase letter E. Have students practice writing the letter E in the air with their fingers. Then, provide them with worksheets or paper to practice writing the letter E. (Optional: use playdough or sand to form the letter). - Letter E Word Hunt (5 mins)
