Tell the students they are going to watch a fun video about the parts of a book. Before playing, explain that they should listen carefully to the song and try to point to the different parts of a book as they are mentioned. - Sing-Along and Review (5 mins)
Play the video again. This time, encourage the students to sing along. After the video, ask simple questions to check for understanding (e.g., "What is the front of the book called?", "Who writes the words?"). - Book Exploration (10 mins)
Give each student a book (picture book is ideal). Guide them to find the front cover, back cover, title, author, and illustrator. Help them locate the title page and point out the page numbers. - Activity: Create Your Own Book Cover (10 mins)
Provide each student with a blank piece of paper. Instruct them to draw their own book cover, including a title and their name as the author and/or illustrator. Encourage creativity!
