Greet the students and introduce the topic: 'Today, we're going to learn about the big idea in a story! It's like the most important part of what the story is about.' - Watch the Video (5 mins)
Play the 'Main Idea | English For Kids | Mind Blooming' video. Encourage students to watch carefully and listen for clues about what the main idea is. - Ice Cream Cone Explanation (5 mins)
After the video, revisit the ice cream cone analogy. 'Remember how the video said the main idea is like the cone and the details are like the scoops? The cone holds everything together!' - Zaina's Bike Ride (5 mins)
Read the 'Zaina's Bike Ride' story aloud from the video transcript. Pause to ask questions like, 'What does the title tell us?' 'What happens in the first sentence?' 'What happens at the end?' - Finding the Main Idea Together (5 mins)
Guide students to identify the main idea of 'Zaina's Bike Ride' using the clues. 'So, what's the big thing that happened in the story? What did Zaina do?' - Practice (5 mins)
