Educator Instructions

Begin by asking students if they like stories. Ask if they ever tell stories to their friends or family. Introduce the idea that stories have a beginning, a middle, and an end. - Video Viewing (7 mins)
Play the 'Sequencing Stories - Episode 6' video from Print2Teach. Pause after each short story to allow for discussion. - Story Retelling (10 mins)
For each story in the video, ask students to describe what happened first, next, and last. Use hand gestures (e.g., pointing to the front, middle, and end) to reinforce the concept of sequencing. - Picture Sequencing Activity (10 mins)
Provide printed pictures from one of the stories in the video (e.g., the beach story or the cutting vegetables story). Have students work individually or in small groups to arrange the pictures in the correct order. Provide assistance and prompting as needed. - Wrap-up (3 mins)
Review the concepts of sequencing and storytelling. Ask students to share their favorite part of the activity or the video.
