Play the Jack Hartmann 'Sight Words - Colors' video. Encourage students to sing along and point to the colors as they are mentioned. - Word Practice (10 mins)
After the video, write the color words (red, blue, green, yellow, brown, black, white, orange, grey, pink, gold, purple) on the board or large paper. Point to each word and have the students say it together. Then, spell each word aloud, having the students repeat after you. Repeat this process several times. - Color Matching Game (10 mins)
Prepare color cards with the color word printed on them. Also, have colored objects or pictures of colored objects. Have students match the color card to the correct colored object or picture. - Review and Wrap-up (5 mins)
Review the color words learned. Ask students to name their favorite color word and spell it. Sing the 'Sight Words - Colors' song one more time.

Provide students with a coloring page that features different objects. Instruct them to color each object the color word written next to it. For example, next to a picture of a sun it would say, "yellow". - Color Word Scavenger Hunt
