Practice making the long and short O sounds. For long O, have students say 'O' like the name of the letter. For short O, have them pretend to be at the doctor and say 'O'. Repeat several times. - Word Identification (8 mins)
Write words with long and short O sounds on the board (e.g., 'boat,' 'dog,' 'rose,' 'hop'). Pronounce each word clearly and have students identify whether it has a long or short O sound. Have them raise their hands for long O and touch their toes for short O. - Interactive Game (5 mins)
