Educator Instructions
- Introduction (5 mins)
Begin by asking students if they like stories. Ask them about their favorite stories and characters. Introduce the video: 'Today, we're going to watch a video about how to tell our own stories!' - Video Viewing (5 mins)
Play the YouTube video: 'Learn to Write: Basic Story Elements' from the Miacademy Learning Channel. Encourage students to pay attention to the 'who,' 'where,' and 'what happened' in the examples. - Discussion (5 mins)
After the video, review the three basic elements of a story: who, where, and what happened. Ask students for examples from the video. Reinforce the concepts with simple, relatable examples. - Story Creation (10 mins)
Guide students to create their own stories. Ask them to brainstorm: 'Who will be in your story? Where will the story take place? What will happen in the story?' Encourage drawing to illustrate their stories. - Sharing (5 mins)
Have students share their stories with the class. Encourage them to use clear voices and to describe the 'who,' 'where,' and 'what happened' in their stories. Provide positive feedback and encouragement.

Provide pictures representing different 'whos' (people, animals), 'wheres' (park, school, home), and 'what happeneds' (playing, eating, sleeping). Have students sort the pictures into the correct categories. - Group Story
