Educator Instructions
- Warm-up (5 mins)
Teacher will lead a quick finger exercise, just like in the video! Then, students write the day and date in their notebooks. - Video Viewing (10 mins)
Watch the 'English Language - Grade 1: Sight words' video. Pay close attention to how the teacher says and writes each sight word. - Sight Word Practice (15 mins)
After the video, the teacher will write each sight word on the board. Students will say the word, spell the word, and write the word five times in their notebooks. Focus on neat handwriting and proper spacing. - Sentence Creation (10 mins)
The teacher will write a sentence using one of the sight words. Then, students will each create their own sentence using a different sight word from the video. Share sentences with the class. - Wrap-up (5 mins)
