Educator Instructions
- Introduction (5 mins)
Teacher greets students and introduces the lesson topic: spelling words ending in 'ING'. Students are asked to write their names, the date, and the word 'spelling' at the top of their paper. - Spelling and Sentence Creation (25 mins)
Teacher presents ten 'ING' words one at a time: ring, sing, wing, sting, swing, thing, spring, string, king, bring. For each word, the teacher spells it out and pronounces it. Students write the word down and then create their own sentence using the word. Teacher provides an example sentence for 'sing'. - Recap and Additional Practice (10 mins)
Teacher reviews all ten words. Students are asked to find five more words that end in 'ING' and write them down. Students are encouraged to share their sentences with someone at home.
