After the video, discuss the key points. Ask: 'What is a penny worth?' 'What is a dime worth?' 'How many pennies do you need to make a dime?' - Practice with Hundreds Chart (10 mins)
Provide each student with a hundreds chart and some pennies (or counters). Guide them to count out different amounts, like in the video. Then, introduce dimes and practice counting with both dimes and pennies. - Trading Game (8 mins)
Have students start with a pile of pennies. Explain that they can trade 10 pennies for 1 dime. Have them practice trading and counting the resulting amount (e.g., 1 dime and 3 pennies = 13 cents).
