  • Video Viewing (5 mins)
    Play the 'Esther counts to 100' video from Khan Academy. Encourage students to count along with Esther.
  • Guided Practice (10 mins)
    After the video, lead a counting exercise with the class. Start at 1 and count as a class. Point out number patterns (e.g., the numbers in the twenties, thirties, etc.).
  • Independent Practice (10 mins)
    Provide students with a number line (1-100). Have them practice counting to 100 independently or with a partner. You can also have them circle specific numbers you call out.
  • Wrap-up (5 mins)
    Review the key concepts from the lesson. Ask students to share what they learned. Mention you will be doing a quiz.
