- Introduction (5 mins)
Begin by asking students what the highest number they can count to is. Explain that today they will learn to count to 100 with Esther from Khan Academy. - Video Viewing (5 mins)
Play the 'Esther counts to 100' video from Khan Academy. Encourage students to count along with Esther. - Guided Practice (10 mins)
After the video, lead a counting exercise with the class. Start at 1 and count as a class. Point out number patterns (e.g., the numbers in the twenties, thirties, etc.). - Independent Practice (10 mins)
Provide students with a number line (1-100). Have them practice counting to 100 independently or with a partner. You can also have them circle specific numbers you call out. - Wrap-up (5 mins)
Review the key concepts from the lesson. Ask students to share what they learned. Mention you will be doing a quiz.
