Educator Instructions
- Introduction (5 mins)
Begin by asking students if they like fruits. Ask them what their favorite fruit is. Introduce the 'Number 1-10 Song' video by Kids Academy. Tell them they will be counting with the dancing fruit! - Video Viewing (3 mins)
Play the 'Number 1-10 Song' video. Encourage students to sing along and point to the numbers as they appear on the screen. - Number Review (7 mins)
After the video, write the numbers 1 through 10 on the board. Point to each number and have the class say it aloud. Then, point to the numbers in a random order and ask individual students to identify them. - Counting Activity (10 mins)
Use manipulatives like counters, blocks, or even small toys. Ask students to count out specific quantities. For example, say 'Can you give me 3 blocks?' or 'Let's count out 7 counters together.' - Wrap-up (5 mins)
Sing the 'Number 1-10 Song' again as a class. Review the numbers 1-10 one last time. Tell students they did a great job counting!
