Educator Instructions
- Introduction (5 mins)
Begin by introducing the concept of 'critical thinking' as using our brains to solve puzzles. Explain that they will be watching a video with fun riddles. Establish rules for listening (quiet hands, quiet voices, listening ears). - Video Time (10 mins)
Play the 'Critical Thinking Riddles for Kids' video by Learn Bright. Pause after each riddle to give students time to think. Encourage them to shout out their answers. - Riddle Review (10 mins)
Go through each riddle again. Discuss the answers and how the students arrived at them. If students struggled, guide them through the thought process. - Activity: Create Your Own Riddle (10 mins)
As a class, try to create a simple riddle together. Focus on using descriptive words and clues. For example: 'I am yellow and sweet. Monkeys like to eat me. What am I?'
