Educator Instructions
- Introduction (5 mins)
Begin by asking students what their favorite type of weather is and why. Introduce the video '10 Words About Weather' and explain that they will be learning about different weather words. - Video Viewing (10 mins)
Play the '10 Words About Weather' video for the students. Encourage them to listen carefully and watch what is happening in the video. - Weather Word Review (10 mins)
After the video, review each weather word presented in the video: sunny, cloudy, rainy, windy, snowy, lightning, thunder, stormy and foggy. Use flashcards or draw pictures on the board to represent each type of weather. As you present each word, have the students repeat the word after you. - Clothing and Weather Discussion (10 mins)
Discuss what type of clothing is appropriate for each type of weather. Ask questions like, 'What would you wear on a sunny day?' or 'What would you wear on a rainy day?' Encourage students to share their ideas and experiences. - Weather Drawing Activity (10 mins)
Have students draw their favorite type of weather and label it with the correct weather word. Display their drawings around the classroom.
